It's been a few days since I posted. Thursday I went for a walk with my dog and it was lovely.

And it was damp. My feet were soaked but who really cares? This is the yellow trail out of Burns Park after a rain dropped the temperature and humidity. Does it look like a trail? I'm pretty sure this is it though.

The deer weren't sure we were on the trail. There were a lot of deer enjoying the cooler weather.

This herd had some spikes in their midst

It was a beautiful day.

Anyway. That was Thursday.

Friday I found and rescued a babby coon.

He was soo cute. The internet said to keep him warm, so I let him hang onto my chest while I figured out what to do with the lil guy.

I heard his siblings squawking from a tree nearby so I hooked him onto the side of that tree. The mother may have gone off to look for food and could take an hour to a day to return? This guy was just squawking on the ground. I'm guessing he fell?

Finished tidying up this lil can reader contraption. So I learned the hard way that DuPont is a name brand. There are Chinese knock off DuPont connectors. This is relevant because name brand connectors are longer and easier to crimp. I needed some right angle connectors to get it all to fit but my right angles are solder in only. I mean it makes sense but I changed the layout so I didn't have to use right angles to get it all to fit.

Finished the slapped together saw horse... It lasted one day. It is now (after Sunday) already broken. sigh Which is fine I guess. This is all a learning process. I don't know. For some reason I have the highly illogical expectation that I can do everything for the first time perfectly. Guess I'm learning lots of things: Pine is too squishy for joints, sharp chisels are easier to work with, give myself grace with kinder expectations.

Stream of thought begin: Who said pastels should be the color for Easter? Who said pastels were good for anything? Jesus, the chocolate...
