Step one: Aquire van Check

Step two: Make it a home Not Yet

Step three: Adventure Not Yet

I got a good deal on a used cargo van from work. I have un-decaled it, taken out the flooring, patched some holes, made a scale model of it, speculated about some storage solutions for inside, and filled it up with what's left from the Condo.

Making this thing creatively mine in every way is exciting. Right now my resources include scraps from pallet wood.

Maybe I'm being to idealistic but if I can get good at using pallet wood that's two wins for me: Affordable and resource responsible. Yes working with pallet wood is harder than just buying wood, yes there is time cost involved with disassembling pallets and yes making pallet wood the right size you need will require some creative woodworking. As soon as I have recovered from transitioning from night shift, it will be saw dust and wood chips.

Hopefully I can play with joinery methods to save from buying fasteners while also making the created items able to be disassembled.

Stream of thought begin: Who said pastels should be the color for Easter? Who said pastels were good for anything? Jesus, the chocolate...
