That moment when you are still drunk from sleep, you don't know you are awake, you don't really know anything. You aren't yet convinced that the dreams you had were just dreams. The day is still very far away from your consciousness. This moment. That moment. I want that kind of peace.
Anyway.
Here's the visual portion of today's blog.
This one is titled,
"Pictures from my Pocket"

I hit 123456 on my car's odometer! that only happens once every 1 million miles!

This is what it looks like outside on the trail at 2 am. It was very lovely, but you can't really tell, and I kinda love that it is that dark.

and I remade a handle for my wal-mart Machete... Walchete? It's either from the old cherry tree or something that was cut down and I saw this and thought "Hey that looks like the right size for my machete handle."

This is what the original looked like, baked plastic... gross.
Just a little wood glue, some hammered in toothpicks a lot of smoothing. I wanted the whole thing to be shiny from burnishing but it's too slick when it is that glossy. So I only burnished some spots for the palm.
