Ambulation, not ambulance

Today I was thinking about all the ambulatory words for four legged animals. My dog is my inspiration for this post.

Let's list a few: canter, gallop, saunter, trot, bounce, bound, slink, pounce, sashay, jaunt, scamper, zoomie (dog specific although that's only because I've not seen a horse do the crazed zoomie run), jog, list (listing to the left of right), tumble (when my fluffy dog is in full jaunt she looks like a tumble of fur), sprint, (at this point I cracked open the thesaurus-rex) loiter, mosey, promenade... aaand now I've lost interest. I felt like I had a whole lot more.
